IMAGINE is an independent non-profit social and cultural organization working in the area of national and international solidarity, with a focus on public health. The acronym IMAGINE stands for “Improving Medicine And Growing International Networks of Equality.” IMAGINE’s work is directed by the ethical beliefs in a world where the fundamental right to health and perspective of medicine are founded in the beliefs of equity and solidarity.
IMAGINE has no religious or political affiliation.
IMAGINE develops preventive and clinical health education programs in developing countries and Italy, with an understanding and respect of the socio-cultural needs of the local community, gearing all interventions to be self-sustaining.
IMAGINE has developed education and awareness activities directed toward improving the health of the poorest populations, which support the ethical and scientific debate in the realm of international development cooperation.

The organization, created in Rome on the 25th of January 2005, is an Onlus (a non-profit organization with a social purpose), as described in the statue and reflects all requirements of the law D.L. 4-12-1997 n.460.
